Full Day Transitional Kindergarten

Transitional Kindergarten (TK) is an exciting educational opportunity for young learners. TK is the first year of a two-year program that provides children with birthdays between September 2 and April 2, a developmentally-appropriate full-day learning experience taught by credentialed teachers and paraprofessionals.

For the 2023-2024 school year your child is eligible to enter kindergarten if they turn 5 on or before September 1, 2023.

Enrollment begins February 1st online and at your school of residence or “home school.”

Enrollment Steps: Easy as 1, 2, 3

READY TO ENROLL TK - 12 grades

We're happy that you have chosen to enroll in a Long Beach Unified School. Our sites are open and willing to serve you during this process.  If you need any assistance during enrollment, please do not hesitate to reach out to our level offices: Elementary 562-997-8247, Middle /K-8 562-997-8100, or  High 562-997-8115. We are looking forward to partnering with you as we educate your child now and in to the future. Please note that if your child is currently attending or has previously attended a Long Beach Unified School you may not need to complete the on-line enrollment. Please reach out to your school of residence to inquire about your child's status.

Step 1

Parents/Guardians will need a valid email address to begin. If you do not have an email account, please create an email account from your preferred free email service provider.

Step 2

Gather pre-enrollment documents (residency verification, immunization record, and proof of age) Click ENROLLMENT REQUIREMENT button above to view the required documents you will need in order to complete enrollment.

Step 3

If your child currently attends an 菠菜网lol正规平台 program such as, speech, Buffum TLC, Head Start, CDC, or has previously attended an 菠菜网lol正规平台 school please contact your school of residence to determine next steps. 

If new to 菠菜网lol正规平台 please complete our on-line enrollment - click red ENROLL HERE button at the top of this page. 

Step 4

Contact School of Residence to make an appointment to complete enrollment. Walk ins are also welcome. Please bring in all original documents to verify and finalize enrollment. 

Paper copies of the enrollment packet are available at each school, if needed.
